Who we are

Columbus Dump Trailer Rental is a local referral service for delivered dump trailer rentals in the Columbus, Georgia area. We do not rent trailers ourselves: when you request a trailer, we pass your request to an independent, local dump trailer rental company that contacts you to confirm the price and schedule delivery, and that provides the rental you agree to with them. This website, (706) 786-9576, and the text messaging program described below are operated by HotStart Labs ("we", "us"), the registered sender of our text messages. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who receives it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a trailer through our form we collect what you enter: your name, phone number, email address, delivery address, the type of project, your preferred delivery date and rental length, and a description of what you are disposing of. When you call us, we collect your caller ID and the details you provide during the call. Calls may be answered by an automated assistant and may be recorded and transcribed so we can act on your request.

Information collected automatically. Our servers log the IP address and basic request details for each visit and form submission. We use cookieless, first-party analytics served from our own domain (page views and button clicks, with no raw IP addresses stored; opt out at any time at columbusdumptrailerrental.com/_hb/optout). We record how you first arrived at the site (for example a search engine or an ad) so we can measure which sources bring requests. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. Our forms use a hidden anti-spam field and rate limiting to block automated abuse.

How we use information

• To respond to your inquiry and arrange the trailer rental you asked for.
• To pass your name, phone number, email address, delivery address and project details to the independent local rental company assigned to your request so they can contact you by phone, text, or email and schedule delivery. We may be paid by that company for the referral.
• To check that a delivery address is real and to help the driver plan the drop (for example, a satellite view of the driveway).
• To measure how well this site works: for example how many requests we receive each month, from which areas, and for which kinds of projects. Reports we share with rental companies are aggregated and do not identify you.
• To send transactional text messages if you have opted in (see below).
• To secure our site, prevent spam and abuse, and keep records we are required or permitted to keep.

SMS text messaging

You may choose to receive text messages from HotStart Labs on behalf of Columbus Dump Trailer Rental by checking the unchecked SMS consent box on our trailer request form, or by saying yes when our phone agent asks whether it is okay to send you text notifications about your delivery. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

• What we send. Messages about your rental request, such as scheduling, delivery confirmations and reminders, pickup notifications, follow-ups, and replies to your questions. We do not send promotional marketing texts.
• Frequency. Message frequency varies with your request, up to 5 messages per rental request.
• Rates. Message and data rates may apply.
• Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or call (706) 786-9576.
• Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Terms. Full program terms are in our SMS Terms and Conditions.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Your phone number is given to the assigned rental company only so they can reach you about your rental. Your text-message opt-in and consent records stay with us, and the rental company is not authorized to text you under this program.

How we share information

We share information in these ways and no others:

• With the rental company handling your request. Each trailer request (name, phone, email, delivery address, and project details) is shared with one independent, Columbus-area dump trailer rental company so they can contact you and provide the rental. We may receive a referral fee from that company. Because we may be compensated, this transfer may count as a "sale" of personal information under some state privacy laws. Once shared, the rental company's own privacy practices apply to their copy of your information; we require them to use it only to respond to your request.
• With service providers that process it on our behalf, such as Cloudflare (hosting, storage, email delivery, and bot protection), Twilio (telephony and messaging), and the providers behind our automated phone assistant and scheduling. They may not use it for their own purposes. Address checks query public sources (the U.S. Census geocoder) and map imagery with the delivery address only.
• When required by law or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.

We do not share your information with data brokers, lead marketplaces, or more than one rental company per request, and we do not use it for marketing unrelated to your request. If you do not want your information passed to a rental company, please do not submit a request; if you change your mind after submitting, email us right away and we will withdraw it if it has not already been sent.

Retention and security

We keep form submissions, call records, and message logs for as long as needed to handle your request and maintain business records, then delete or anonymize them. Data is stored with Cloudflare in the United States. All traffic to this site is encrypted in transit, and access to stored data is limited to the people who need it.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or delete your information, to stop contacting you, or to opt out of having your request shared with a rental company, by emailing sales@columbusdumptrailerrental.com. We will also pass a deletion request on to the rental company that received your request. You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.

Children

This site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. Material changes to our text messaging practices will be described on this page before they take effect.
